There has been a battle for truth ever since the beginning of the human race, the fight for who controls the narrative of our lives and what we believe to be true. Much of the division we see, especially in our western culture, comes from having different definitions of truth such as majority opinion or consensus, the whatever works for you philosophy otherwise known as relative truth and science as truth otherwise known as naturalism. each has their flaws and differs drastically from the Biblical definition of truth. Jesus came to bear witness to the truth and if we are going to be on the right path we need to understand what truth he was talking about. Our eternal destination depends on it.
