This week we will celebrate the birth of our nation and liberty and freedom. Although we are free in many ways and blessed there are many detractors out there that don’t appreciate the freedom that we have and would want us to adopt ideas that would lead to less freedom. On the spiritual front we celebrate the freedom we have in Christ freedom from sin, freedom to live for Christ. But we all aren’t ‘t necessarily free inside. Many still remain in bondage, enslaved to our own appetites and emotions seemly pulled along like by some unseen force. But Christ died to free us, to liberate us from the control that sin has over our lives. And just as some Christians are beginning to see victory you have these false teachers who come along and desire to place them once again into this bondage. These distractors from the truth are nothing new and the Apostle Paul warned the Philippian church about them.
