The prophet Amos had strong words for the people of God when their assembly, their worship became a show. They neglected the vulnerable people around them and turn a blind eye to those who were truly oppressed. Righteousness has to do with having a right relationship with our neighbor and justice has to do with making things right for our neighbor. If the church does not care about the world around us our worship is like noise in God's ears
