What has been termed “legalism” has been a problem ever since the beginning of the church 2000 years ago. It creeps its way into our lives if we are not careful and can wreak havoc on entire churches as well as drive people away from Christ. It offers itself as a shortcut to holiness but often leaves in its wake hurt and disillusionment.
